This self-guided tour is a selection of aviation-related sites open to the public. It was established in 1981 by Aviation Trail, Inc., an all-volunteer, not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to preserve and promote the Dayton area's unique aviation heritage, starting with the invention of the airplane by Wilbur and Orville Wright. That heritage continues on to today's aerospace projects of the future, now under development at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Use the trail's brochure to find out how you can earn a free "Wilbear Wright" aviation teddy bear.
